WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team will travel to Marietta College on Saturday for a 7 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest. 

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta, the Fightin' Quakers are 10-2-2, 3-0-1 OAC. The Pioneers are 6-7-0, 1-3-0 OAC. 

The Coaches: Alex Van der Sluijs is in his second year leading Wilmington's men's soccer team. The 2007 alumnus, who was a three-time First Team All-OAC selection and a member of the program's only team to win an OAC title in 2004, worked at Defiance College for seven seasons. Joe Bergin a 1985 alumnus of Marietta is in his seventh season as head coach for his alma mater. 

The Players: Ian Molfenter leads the Quakers in scoring with eight goals, he has also recorded one assist. Zach Burgmeier leads assists with five and six goals of his own. Felix Maurer has started every game at goalkeeper for the Quakers and has recorded 33 saves with six goals allowed. Gavin Long leads the Pioneers in goals with six, he has also dished out two assists. Dakota Penquite is the main goalkeeper for Marietta, he has recorded 40 saves with 14 goals allowed. 

Series History: The Quakers are 14-6-1 against the Pioneers since 1994, the Pioneers won the last meeting 2-1 at Williams Stadium in 2018.

Unbeaten Streak: Wilmington is unbeaten in its last five games, including four OAC matchups. The Quakers are currently tied with John Carroll for first place in the OAC standings.
