Men's Soccer Travels to Kenyon on Tuesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team will travel to Kenyon College on Tuesday for a 5:15 contest. 

The Teams: Wilmington and Kenyon, the Fightin; Quakers are 7-1-0 after a 11-0 thrashing at Franklin College on Friday. The Lords are also 7-1-0 after defeating Thomas More 7-1 on Saturday.

The Coaches: Alex Van der Sluijs is in his second year leading Wilmington's men's soccer team. The 2007 alumnus, who was a three-time First Team All-OAC selection and a member of the program's only team to win an OAC title in 2004, worked at Defiance College for seven seasons. Chris Brown is in his 13th season as head men's soccer coach at Kenyon, in that time he has led the Lords to a combined 176 victories including 11 wins in the NCAA tournament. 

The Players: Elorm Dogbey continues to lead the Quakers in scoring with nine goals and two assists, Zach Burgmeier had dished out four assists while scoring four goals of his own. Felix Maurer has played the majority of minutes in goal, recording 14 saves and two solo shutouts. Atli Hrafnkelsson leads the Lords in points with five goals and one assist for 11 points. Ian McInturf has made 21 saves in the goal with two solo shutouts. 

Series History: The Quakers are 7-13-0 against the Lords since 1991, the Lords won the last meeting 5-0 in 2018.

Regional Ranking: Wilmington was ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches great lakes regional rankings last week, Kenyon was ranked sixth.
