NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's soccer duo of Niklas Martensson and Gabriel Nygard earned recognition from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association.
Martensson earned Second Team All-Ohio recognition along with garnering First Team Academic All-Ohio honors with a 3.30 grade point average in sport management. Nygard earned a spot on the Academic All-Ohio Second Team with a 3.85 grade point average in business administration.
Martensson put together one of the best single seasons in the Wilmington NCAA era (1991-present) scoring 16 goals and dishing out five assists for a total of 37 points. Nygard started all but one game in the Quaker back row. He also dished out an assist in Wilmington's 3-1 victory over Denison University.
Wilmington finished its season with a 9-8-0 overall record and a 4-5-0 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) competition.
