COMPLETE LIST OF SCHOLAR ALL-NORTH/CENTRAL REGION HONOREES
KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Wilmington College men's soccer senior Nils Asteberg earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) NCAA Division III Scholar All-North/Central Region Third Team.
"Nils [Asteberg] was our top defender throughout the season and his leadership was instrumental in our team success," former Head Men's Soccer Coach Bud Lewis said. "He's a very gifted student and such class act in all he does on and off the field."
Asteberg started all 19 games for the Fightin' Quakers back line and dished out assists in wins over Wittenberg University and Muskingum University. He also garnered First Team Academic All-Ohio honors. The Ojersjo, Sweden, native has a 3.93 grade point average and is a business administration major.
The Fightin' Quakers finished the 2017 season with an 8-9-2 overall record and a 2-6-1 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.
