Men's Lacrosse Hosts John Carroll on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday when John Carroll University (JCU) for a 1 p.m. contest at Williams Stadium.

The Teams:
 Wilmington and John Carroll. The Fightin' Quakers are currently 0-5 in the OAC after dropping their last contest at Muskingum University on Wednesday.  The Blue Streaks are currently 2-3 in the OAC after beating the University of Mount Union on the road on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his second year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus. Joe Rautenstrauch, in his second year with the Blue Streaks, has led them to a 26-10 overall record. He also guided JCU to two OAC tournament championships as well as the first NCAA Division III Tournament win in program history. 

The players:
 Connor Judge and Andrew Miller have been Wilmington's top offensive duo as both have over 25 points on the season. Judge leads the team in goals with 25 and points with 32 while Miller, who has netted 16 goals, leads the squad by assisting on 11 goals. Skyler Blake leads the way for John Carroll with his 33 goals and 13 assists so far this season. Brendan Whitty is following closely, scoring 24 times while controlling the highest number of assists on the team at 26. In their last game against Mount Union, the duo accounted for six of the teams 14 goals and five of their 12 assists.
         
Series History:
 Wilmington is 0-5 in program history against John Carroll with the last matchup resulting in a 25-3 loss for the Quakers April 7, 2018 in University Heights.
