Men's Lacrosse Hosts Muskingum in Season Finale on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team concludes its 2018 season by hosting Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers are 4-9 overall an 1-6 in the OAC after a 28-4 loss at Capital University on Wednesday. The Fighting Muskies are 3-12 overall and winless in the OAC. Muskingum most recently fell to Bethany College (West Virginia) 9-5 on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his first season as head coach of the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Arneson comes to Wilmington from a seven-year stint as a coach from Thiel College including six years as the head coach. While at Thiel, Coach Arneson took the team from a 2-12 record in his first year to a 10-5 record in 2015. In 2014, Arneson coached the Player of the Year in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) while also winning coach of the year. Alec Chisholm is in his first season as Muskingum's head coach after spending last season as the defensive coordinator at Oberlin College.

The Players: Wilmington is led by the trio of Jhordan Lang, Andrew Miller and Connor Judge offensively this year. Lang has scored 36 goals, while Miller and Judge have combined for 41 goals. Defensively, Tanner Diment and Zac Chucta have led the way for the Fightin' Quakers. Together, Diment and Chucta have totaled 128 and 67 ground balls respectively. In goal for the Quakers, is Jake Ladendorf who has 177 saves on the season with a record of 4-9. Ryan Stacey leads Muskingum offensively with 31 goals and three assists for 34 total points.

Senior Day: Saturday's game will mark the final home game for the careers of three Wilmington seniors – Tanner Diment, Jake Ladenforf and Jhordan Lang. A brief ceremony will be held prior the competition beginning.

Series History: Wilmington is 3-0 against Muskingum in the last three seasons including a 13-7 win the on April 18, 2015 – the last time the two teams played at Williams Stadium. For more information on the series history, visit the link above.
