Men's Lacrosse Falls to Otterbein 23-8

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team took on Otterbein this evening. In a tale of two halves, Wilmington dropped this OAC game by a score of 23-8. The Quakers will take on at Capital Wednesday, April 25. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The first half was a lopsided contest putting Otterbein in the lead 16-2. Jhordan Lang and Connor Judge recorded goals in the first and second quarters. The Cardinals more than doubled the Quaker total in shots in the first half 32-11.

Wilmington's second half was much more successful putting in six goals, three in each quarter. The Quaker defense only allowed seven goals in a much more concerted effort defensively. Three different Quakers scored in the third quarter. Goals came from Lang, Andrew Miller, and Zac Chucta. In the fourth quarter, Miller scored two goals to complete his hat-trick, as did Lang recording his solo goal in the fourth to complete his hat-trick.

Lang and Miller scored three goals on the evening and Lang recorded one assist. Judge and Chucta had the other two goals for the Quakers on the evening. Mike Smith tied in a team-high three caused turnovers with Lang. Jake Ladenforf recorded 14 saves on 51 shots faced.

Wilmington (4-8, 1-5 OAC) will travel to Capital on Wednesday, April 25. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
