Ladendorf Named OAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College men's lacrosse senior Jake Ladendorf has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played between April 9-15.

Ladendorf saved 28-of-37 shots on goal to preserve the Fightin' Quakers' 10-9 victory over Heidelberg University last Friday. Despite being outshot 59-31 in the game, Ladendorf's heroics allowed Wilmington to earn its first OAC victory over the season.

"Jake Ladendorf played a great game from start to finish on Friday," Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Jeff Arneson said. "Down the stretch, he stood on his head and made some amazing saves late in the game to help clinch the victory. Overall, it was one of his best performances this season."

A field player for the majority of his Wilmington career, Ladendorf has stepped into the goalkeeping role full-time for the first time in his career this season and played every minute for the Quakers in net.

Wilmington (4-7, 1-4 OAC) travels to Otterbein University tomorrow (Tuesday).
