Men's Lacrosse Travels to Baldwin Wallace Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team is traveling to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, April 7. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington is looking to bounce back after three straight losses in OAC play. Baldwin Wallace is coming off a victory from the University of Mount Union last Wednesday 13-5.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his first season as head coach of the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Arneson comes to Wilmington from a seven-year stint as a coach from Thiel College including six years as the head coach. While at Thiel, Coach Arneson took the team from a 2-12 record in his first year to a 10-5 record in 2015. In 2014, Arneson coached the Player of the Year in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) while also winning coach of the year. Joe Rautenstrauch begins his second season as the head coach of the men's lacrosse program. He was hired October 13, 2016. In his first season as head coach, Rautenstrauch led the Blue Streaks to a 13-5 overall record while going undefeated in conference play (8-0).

The Players: Wilmington is led by the trio of Jhordan Lang, Andrew Miller and Connor Judge offensively this year. Lang has scored 28 goals, while Miller and Judge have combined for 29 goals. Defensively, Tanner Diment and Zac Chucta have led the way for the Fightin' Quakers. Together, Diment and Chucta have totaled 97 and 53 ground balls respectively. Michael Aquaviva and Eric Wathen have 12 caused turnovers each this season/. In goal for the Quakers, is Jake Ladendorf who has 111 saves on the season with a record of 2-6. Baldwin Wallace's offense is led by Skyler Blake with 23 goals and Brendan Whitty with 16 goals and 10 assists. Defensively, Brian McMullen has a team-high 11 caused turnovers on the season. Goalie, Jacob Betz has a record of 5-2 with 58 saves.
