Men's Lacrosse Travels to Baldwin Wallace Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team will travel to Baldwin Wallace this Friday. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington will be looking to bounce back from a tough game against Mount Union in this seasons first OAC matchup. Baldwin Wallace is coming off an impressive win at Muskingum 29-4.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his first season as head coach of the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Arneson comes to Wilmington from a seven-year stint as a coach from Thiel College including six years as the head coach. While at Thiel, Coach Arneson took the team from a 2-12 record in his first year to a 10-5 record in 2015. In 2014, Arneson coached the Player of the Year in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) while also winning coach of the year. Trey Keeley is entering his first season as the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse head coach. Keeley comes to BW after three years at Ohio Wesleyan University, two as an assistant coach and one as an associate head coach. His main responsibilities included working as an offensive coordinator, man-up coordinator, recruiting coordinator and assistant face-off coordinator.

The Players: Wilmington is led by the trio of Jhordan Lang, Andrew Miller and Connor Judge offensively this year. Lang has scored 24 goals, while Miller and Judge have combined for 28 goals. Defensively, Tanner Diment and Zac Chucta have led the way for the Fightin' Quakers. Together, Diment and Chucta have totaled 123 ground balls and caused six turnovers. Michael Aquaviva and Eric Wathen have 10 and 12 caused turnovers respectively. In goal for the Quakers, is Jake Ladendorf who has 73 saves on the season with a record of 2-4. Baldwin Wallace is led by three players offensively, Chad Steinwachs, Brock Riemenscneider, and Mike Nanosky. Combined, the trio has totaled 54 goals on the season. The defense is led by Liam Oberst who has a team-high 11 caused turnovers on the year. In goal, Mike Dizonno has started all seven games totaling 58 saves.
