Men's Lacrosse Continues Road Stretch Against William Peace

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team travels to William Peace in its last game of a four-game road stretch on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington will be looking to bounce back after a tough game against Ferrum on Tuesday. William Peace, 2-5 on the season, will be looking to get back into the win column after a loss to Huntingdon College.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his first season as head coach of the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Arneson comes to Wilmington from a seven-year stint as a coach from Thiel College including six years as the head coach. While at Thiel, Coach Arneson took the team from a 2-12 record in his first year to a 10-5 record in 2015. In 2014, Arneson coached the Player of the Year in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) while also winning coach of the year. William Peace University is coached Nate Bates the first coach in team history. Bates comes to WPU from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he served as an assistant men's lacrosse coach and recruiting coordinator from 2010 to 2016

The Players: Wilmington is led by the duo of Jhordan Lang and Connor Judge offensively this year. Lang has scored nine goals while Judge has scored 7 goals and both have assisted on three goals. Lang is coming off a game in which he has scored his 100th career goal. Andrew Miller has chipped in as well with four goals and three assists on the season. Defensively, Tanner Diment and Zac Chucta have led the way for the Fightin' Quakers. Together, Diment and Chucta have totaled 55 ground balls and caused four turnovers. In goal for the Quakers, is Jake Ladendorf who has 31 saves on the season with a record of 1-2. The Pacers are led by Austin Abourjille who has scored 19 goals and totaled 5 assists on the season. Palmer Martin paces the William Peace defense with five caused turnovers on the season. In goal, Nick Shelton has started 7-8 games and has 85 saves.
