Offensive Attack Leads Men's Lacrosse Past Earlham 21-0

Wilmington, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team pummeled Earlham College in a 21-0 shutout in the Quaker Bowl rivalry on Tuesday eveing.

Wilmington came out on fire in the first and second periods of the game this evening against Earlham. There were many career days to be had and the Fightin' Quakers came out on top in the Quaker Bowl. In the first period, Jhordan Lang came out ready to play scoring four of his six goals. Four other visiting Quakers were able to net goals in the first giving Wilmington an 8-0 lead.

Wilmington came out fast again in the second period scoring three goals in the first five minutes, two of them coming from Mike Smith. In the second period, it was Connor Judge's time to score a hat trick and lead the Quakers offensively. At the half, Wilmington led Earlham by a score of 15-0.

The second half was much of the same for the Fightin' Quakers as they continued to add to their lead. The offensive attack was impressive with an additional six goals being added to the lead for Wilmington. In the third period, both Andrew Miller and Zac Chucta tacked on their third goals for hat tricks.

On a career day for Wilmington's offense, four members of the team were able to total three or more goals each. Lang led the way with six goals on the evening, followed by Judge with four and both Miller and Chucta with three respectively. Wilmington totaled 26 shots on goal while scoring on 21 of them. Defensively Jake Ladendorf led the way with six saves and was able to complete the shutout.

Wilmington (1-1) will travel to Ferrum College on Monday, March 12. The game will start at 4 p.m.
