The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team is participating in the nation's largest college lacrosse showcase on October 8 in Canton.

Wilmington will play two games at one of the most iconic facilities in the country – the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The recently renovated $600-millon facility is host of the NFL Hall of Fame Game, several college football games throughout the year. The Fightin' Quakers will be played Division II Ohio Valley University and Washington & Jefferson College.

"Going up against better competition each year, is the only way that we are going to get any better," Wilmington head coach Bryan Habick about the event. "It is an opportunity to play some great competition, see some other teams play that compete at a high level, get some exposure for our guys, and donate back to a great cause."

Crosse Out Cancer is an annual event held in the first week of October with proceeds going to the Cleveland Clinic's Breast Cancer Research Program at the Taussig Cancer Institute. The event is put on by Burning River Lacrosse, a club program out of the Cleveland area with great ties to the community.

"We look for any and all ways to give back, and breast cancer research is just one opportunity that we cannot pass up," said Habick. "We encourage all of our fans, and anyone that loves the game of lacrosse to not only come see us play, but come donate to a cause that needs help. Researchers are so close to finding a cure for breast cancer, but cannot do so without our help.

"If there was one good thing that you did today, make it donating to the Taussig Cancer Institute," Habick continued.

The Wilmington College Men's Lacrosse team has set up an account where 100% of the proceeds go straight to the Breast Cancer Research Program at the Taussig Cancer Institute (DONATE)

Tickets are needed for this event, and all proceeds from those tickets sold go directly to the Taussig Cancer Institute. Wilmington College Men's Lacrosse will be selling tickets (limited supply) until they run out for $10/ticket. They will be $15/ticket at the gate.
