Four players score in @DubC_MensLax win

TIFFIN – Four different players scored as the Wilmington College men's lacrosse team earned its first Ohio Athletic Conference win of the season, beating Heidelberg Saturday, 13-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Wilmington scored the first five goals of the game, and never turned back.
  • The Fightin' Quakers outscored Heidelberg in three of the four periods.
  • Senior Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) and senior Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) combined for eight goals and three assists. Lang led the way with four goals and two assists, while Delaney recorded four goals and an assist.
  • Freshman Connor Judge (Dublin, OH/Scioto) tallied the first hat trick of his career.
  • Senior Chris Hein (McKinney, TX/McKinney) scored the other two goals for the Fightin' Quakers.
  • Senior Paul Koerbel (Maineville, OH/Kings) made 22 saves in goal on 29 shots.
  • Junior Tanner Diment (Midland, MI/Midland) was dominant on faceoffs, winning 12 of his 15 attempts. Diment added a team-high nine groundballs. As a team, Wilmington was 16-of-22 in faceoffs.
  • Freshman Jordan Grossen (Wooster, OH/Wooster) finished with five groundballs and a team-high three caused turnovers.
  • Neither team was proficient in their power play opportunities as Wilmington was 1-of-7 and Heidelberg was 0-of-5.

HEAD COACH QUOTES

"It's nice to see the guys play four full quarters," said Wilmington head coach Bryan Habick. "We had some slip ups in the first and fourth, but we earned the win. With three games left, we've put a huge emphasis on leaving it all out there."
