OAC honors for Delaney

OAC honors for Delaney

AUSTINTOWN – Wilmington College senior Reid Delaney has been honored by the Ohio Athletic Conference for his exploits on the lacrosse field last week, earning OAC Offensive Player of the Week honors – the league announced today (Monday, March 6, 2017).

"Reid is off to a fantastic start for his senior season, on and off the field," said Wilmington head coach Bryan Habick. "Saturday's performance was a culmination of the work he has done in the offseason and preseason, and the work of his teammates to recognize the hot hand."

Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) finished with a single-game school record with eight goals in Wilmington's 24-2 victory over LaRoche. He added three assists to establish a school record with 11 points.

It's the first time Delaney has earned the conference's weekly award, and the first Wilmington player since Devon Maki picked up the honors during the 2015 season.
