PITTSBURGH, PA – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team scored three of the first four goals, and never trailed in moving over .500 with the 16-11 victory over LaRoche in non-conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilmington outscored the Redhawks in three of the four quarters, and was only outscored 4-3 in the fourth quarter.
- The Fightin' Quakers tallied the first goal in every quarter, including the first four in the second period and the first three in the third period.
- Four different players tallied multiple goals.
- Sophomore Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) tallied a season-high four goals and two assists to lead Wilmington in scoring.
- Junior Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) added three goals on four shots with two assists.
- Sophomore Matt Dugan (Hilliard, OH/Davidson) scored a career-high four goals for the Fightin' Quakers.
- Junior Chris Hein (McKinney, TX/McKinney) was the fourth player with multiple goals, finishing with two goals and one assist.
- Senior Jalen Jackson (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) inched closer to 100 career assists with two on Wednesday.
- Wilmington was 17-of-25 on faceoffs, and a perfect 6-for-6 in killing off LaRoche's extra-man opportunities. WC was 2-for-4 on their extra-man chances.
- Sophomore Jake Ladendorf (Crown Point, IN/Crown Point) finished with five saves on 16 shots.
