Four score in loss to Alma

ALMA, MI – Four different players scored for the Wilmington College men's lacrosse team as they fell to Alma, 12-4, Wednesday in non-conference action.

The Scots scored seven straight goals from last in the first quarter to midway through the third to take control of the game, opening up a 9-1 lead.

But, Wilmington was ready to fight back. Three straight goals from Jalen Jackson (Hilliard, OH/Bradley), Nick Perry and Reid Delaney to end the third period put WC back into the game, trailing 9-4. Jackson added an assist on Perry's goal. Alma scored early in the final period, and the sealed the victory with two late goals.

Alexander Gossard added a goal for the Fightin' Quakers, and Paul Koerbel made six saves in the loss.

Wilmington (0-2) returns to the field 7 p.m. Wednesday, hosting Hanover, in non-conference action.
