Men's Basketball Heads to Otterbein on Wednesday in Search of Third Straight Win

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team takes a two-game Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) winning streak with it to Otterbein University for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Fightin' Quakers enter the matchup 4-10 overall adn 2-6 in OAC competition having finished last week 2-0 with wins over Muskingum University and John Carroll University. The Cardinals, who are having one of their best seasons in recent memory, are 10-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Otterbein most recently fell 74-59 at the University of Mount Union on Saturday. Andy Winters, formerly the top assistant at Capital University, is in his third season as Otterbein's head coach. 

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 15th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. 

The Players: Two-time First Team All-OAC selection Jeffery Mansfield leads Wilmington in several categories including scoring (15.1 points), rebounding (6.7 boards) and assists (4.4). Collmann Aaron and Anthony Freeman both score at least seven points with Freeman coming off a career-best, 27-point outburst in WC's win over John Carroll on Saturday. Noah Dado joins Mansfield in grabbing over six boards per game. Dallas Patrick and Cam Evans both score in double figures for Otterbein while Reid Black joins Patrick in grabbing over five rebounds a game.
