WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team looks closes out the first half of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play by hosting Muskingum University on Wednesday. Tip-off from Hermann Court is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers are 9-5 on the season overall and 5-3 in OAC competition after defeating Baldwin Wallace University 79-77 in overtime on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are 7-8 on the year and 3-5 in the OAC. Muskingum is also coming off an overtime victory, defeating Heidelberg University 89-83 on Saturday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 12th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Travis Schwab, who is second on Ohio Wesleyan University's all-time scoring list, is in his fourth season as the Muskies' head coach.

The Players: A trio of Quakers – DaeShawn Jackson, Kevin Lewis and Will Patrick – all score in double figures with Jackson leading the bunch at 16.9 points per game. Lewis, who scored 16.6 points per contest, leads the team on the boards with 5.9 rebounds a game while Abdul Kanu also grabs over four rebounds per game. Both Jackson and Payton Smith dish out 2.3 assists per game. Lewis is also the OAC's leader in steals per game at 2.4 per game. Marcus Dempsey, who has played in just six games this season, leads Muskingum offensively to the tune of 25.7 points per game as well as being the Muskies' leading rebounder at 5.7 boards per contest. Devon Peart and Mitch Clark also both score in double figures.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game - Wilmington 79.1, Muskingum 78.9; opponents points per game - Wilmington 76.9, Muskingum 75.9; field goal percentage - Wilmington 42.0, Muskingum 45.8; three-point percentage - Wilmington 34.7, Muskingum 35.3; free throw percentage - Wilmington 68.3, Muskingum 76.4; rebounds per game - Wilmington 36.7, Muskingum 34.6; assist-to-turnover ratio - Wilmington 0.91, Muskingum 1.28.

OAC Player of the Week: Kevin Lewis is the reigning OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The senior averaged 20.0 points per game and hit 16-of-24 shots in two wins last week.

Recent History: Wilmington is an even 23-23 against Muskingum since becoming a member of NCAA Division III prior to the 1991-92 season. The Quakers have won 7-of-10 including both matchups last season. More information on the series history can be viewed at the link above.
