Men's Basketball Hits the Road For Matchup at Muskingum on Wednesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's basketball team continues its search for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victory the Fightin' Quakers travel to Muskingum University for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday evening.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Quakers are 4-8 overall and looking for their first OAC victory after an 87-69 loss to Baldwin Wallace University (BW) on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are 6-7 overall and 4-2 in conference after a 90-83 victory at Heidelberg University.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt enters his 11th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Travis Schwab is in his third season has head men's basketball coach at Muskingum.

The Players: Christian Jones leads Wilmington in scoring at 18.9 points per game. Will Patrick, who turned in a career-high 21 points against BW, is the other Quakers to score in double figures (10.6 points per game) while also teaming up with Andrew Russell and Nathan Scott to lead the squad in rebounding at 3.3 boards per contest. Scott also averages over a dozen points per game for Wilmington. Muskingum is led by Marcus Dempsey who averages 28.8 points per game. Brandon Keyes leads the Muskies in rebounding at 5.0 boards per game.
