The Wilmington College men's basketball team looks to snap a four-game losing streak as the Fightin' Quakers step away from Ohio Athletic Conference action 7 p.m. Monday as the Thomas More Saints visit Fred Raizk Arena in Hermann Court.
NCAA SERIES: Wilmington trails the NCAA series, 10-17. The teams have split the last five meetings. The Fightin' Quakers' last win came in 2013, a 108-75 victory. A lot of the teams meetings came as both teams were members of the Association of Mideast Colleges.
FACULTY/STAFF APPRECIATION: The Wilmington athletic department will honor its faculty and staff during the game. In addition, all members of the faculty and staff will receive a hot dog or hamburger and a drink.
R.J. Leppert lead Wilmington's offensive effort with 21 points as Law Williams netted 14 and Jonathan Bibbs came off the bench to add 17 points.
Two of Thomas More's three double-digit scorers, Junior Stockwell and Ralph Stone, are coming off the bench with 10.3 and 10.1 points, respectively. Junior Simon Clifford leads the team with 15.3 points, while taking a team-high 79 shots. Stone leads the team with 7.7 rebounds, while sophomore Brandon Horne is second with 6.6 boards.
The duo of Daniel Williams and Ryne Callahan have combined to take 45.3 percent (59-of-130) of the team's three-point attempts. Callahan makes 39.1 percent (9-of-23) and Williams connects on 33.3 percent (12-of-36) of their attempts.
Thomas More comes into the game ranked eighth nationally in assists with an average of 20 dimes on 30 baskets. Sophomore Damion King leads the way with 5.0 assists.
DOUBLE FIGURES: Wilmington enters the game with three players averaging more than 10 points. Junior Christian Jones, who has reached double digits in four consecutive games, leads the team with 13.0 points per game. He has tallied at least 10 points in six of the team's eight games.
EFFICIENT FROSH: Freshman Noah Chatman is currently fourth nationally in field goal percentage, making 71.4 percent of his attempts. Earlier this season, he set a Wilmington NCAA-era record with 14 made field goals.
In addition, Lewis is fifth in the league - making 58.8 percent of his shots.
