TIFFIN – The Wilmington College men's basketball team lost their third straight game to open Ohio Athletic Conference season, falling to Heidelberg 97-85, Saturday.

The 97 points were the second most allowed by the Fightin' Quakers this season.

It was a back and forth affair for the first 10 minutes of the game, but the Student Princes took control of the contest midway through the first half with a 13-0 run. During the spurt, Wilmington missed four shots, three free throws and turned the ball over twice.

As the game was seemingly getting away from them, Wilmington managed just one basket over an eight-minute stretch of the first half.

The teams combined for 84 free throws as 61 fouls were called. Wilmington was 27-of-42 from the line and the Student Princes were 31-of-42.

Sophomore Kevin Lewis (Cincinnati, OH/Clark Montessori) scored a career-high 17 points with a team-high eight boards. He has reached double figures in three straight games and four of the last five.

Junior Christian Jones (Hamilton, OH/Hamilton) added 15 points, while freshman Noah Chatman (Goodlottsville, TN/Beech) finished with 11 points and eight boards.

Wilmington (3-5 overall, 0-3 OAC) takes a week off for exams before travel to Marietta to face the No. 3 Pioneers.
