Josh Runda enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Wilmington College in 2018. He will oversee the Fightin' Quaker linebackers as well Wilmington's plan to defend the pass.
Runda comes to Wilmington after one-year stints at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) and Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU). At UIndy, he coached linebackers as well as helping break down film and plan practices. Runda served as special teams coordinator, defensive line coach and director of new media at OWU.
Prior to the two one-year stops, Runda spent two seasons at his alma mater, Bluffton University, coaching linebackers as well as serving as the head junior varsity coach. He worked with Head Coach Bryan Moore at Bluffton as well as being the recuiting coordinator for the program.
A three-time All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honoree for the Beavers, Runda graduated in 2013 with a degree in broadcasting and journalism. He went on to earn a master's degree in business administration from Bluffton in 2016.
Runda resides in Wilmington.
