Parks left the program fourth all-time in tackles with 376.

Alongside then-Head Coach Bryan Moore, Fillipovich navigated a unique 2021 spring season that featured five games due ot the COVID-19 pandemic. His defensive staff engineered quite the improvement in nearly every statistical category including most notably: points allowed (41.4 to 27.6), yards allowed (438 to 309) and rushing yards allowed (197 to 86). That alongside mentoring Tavion Byrant, the Gene Slaughter Award winner as the league's best linebacker, Fillipovich was named the OAC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Fillipovich helped guide the Fightin' Quakers to their best season in a decade in 2019 that included snapping a 25-game losing streak to Ohio Northern University and winning consecutive games to end the season.

Nine individuals earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) under Fillipovich’s guidance. Most recently, both Tavion Bryant and Ameer Jackson garnered Second Team All-OAC honors in 2019. In addition, he aided Head Coach Bryan Moore in ending Wilmington’s 40-game OAC losing streak with a 37-30 overtime win against Capital University in 2017.

Prior to Wilmington, Fillipovich spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator at North Carolina Wesleyan. Prior to his two years with Battlin’ Bishops, Fillipovich spent 11 seasons at Heidelberg University including several years coaching with Moore. The last three seasons, he served as the co-defensive and recruiting coordinator.

During his tenure with the Student Princes, Fillipovich coached five All-OAC honorees, including All-American Matt Grieves, who was also an ESPN The Magazine District IV Academic selection. Grieves was one of three Heidelberg players to garner Academic All-Region status under his direction.

In his more than a decade of service, he had a plethora of duties, including the roles of camp director, junior varsity head coach and equipment manager, among others. Prior to joining Heidelberg, he gained a year of coaching experience during the 2003 season as an assistant defensive line coach at his alma mater. He went on to receive his master's degree in education from Heidelberg in 2006.

Fillipovich resides in Wilmington with his wife, Andrea. The couple has a son, Henry and a daughter, Abbey.
