WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College football team plays one final time at home on Saturday as Muskingum University comes to Williams Stadium for a 1:30 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers enter the game with aa 3-5 overall record including a 2-5 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) mark after a 57-7 defeat at the hands of Heidelberg University on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are an even 4-4 overall and 3-4 in conference games after a 49-14 defeat to John Carroll University on Saturday. 

The Coaches: Corey Fillipovich, who has served as Wilmington's defensive coordinator for the previous four seasons, enters his first full season as head coach in 2022. The former OAC Assistant Coach of the Year, he stepped in to lead the program through the final four games of the 2021 fall campaign which included consecutive victories over Capital University and Otterbein University to end the season. Erik leuter is in his fifth season as Muskingum's head coach. The Muskies have won 17 games during leuter's tenure.

The Offenses: Adam Dixon averages 211.1 yards passing per game to go along with 15 touchdowns for the Wilmington offense. Ace Taylor has hauled in 38 receptions while Lathan Jones has 550 yards receiving. Fifth-year senior Itika Wynn Jr. has grabbed a team-best five touchdown passes. On the ground, Ben Hobbs has carried 90 times for 345 yards. Jordan Garrett quarterbacks the Muskingum offense and averages 205.8 yards through the air with 17 touchdowns including seven to Zuri Edmondson. Donny Wilkinson has carried 103 times for 294 yards.

The Defenses: Jarod Lee and Zac Schmidt, two alums of Eaton High School, lead the Quaker defense by combining for 150 tackles. Schmidt and Trafford Dunn both have 6.5 tackles for loss on the season while Joey Weikel has three sacks thus far. Cornerback Quentin Davis has nine pass breakups and is one of six Quakers to have interceptions. Ausint Willforth averages over 10 tackles per game for Muskingum and alos has seven tackles for loss.
