WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College football team concludes its 2018 season with a 1:30 p.m. contest against Otterbein University on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Fightin' Quakers are 1-8 on the season and in search of their first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victory after falling to Capital University 38-17 on Saturday. The Cardinals are also 1-8 and winless in the OAC after a 43-21 defeat at the hands of Marietta College on Saturday.

The Coaches: Bryan Moore, a 1999 graduate of Hiram College, begins his second season leading Wilmington's football program. Moore began instilling his vision on WC last year which led to victories over Earlham College and Capital University. Previously, he spent time at both Bluffton University and Heidelberg University. Tim Doup, a 1992 Otterbein graduate, is in his seventh season as Otterbein's head coach. He was previously Otterbein's offensive coordinator for nine years.

The Offense: Kyle Barrett quarterbacks the Wilmington offense and has thrown for over 1,900 yards and an average of 212 yards per game to go along with 18 touchdowns. Ace Taylor has been his favorite target through nine games as the freshman has 45 receptions for 487 yards. Luke Richardson has 25 receptions for 541 yards and nine touchdowns while DJ Chambers leads the Quakers' running attack with an average of over 65 yards per game. Steven Irwin and Bryce Hall have split quarterbacking duties for the Cardinals as both have thrown for over 650 yards. Payton Vanderkooi, Reed Tucker and George Redding have all caught over 20 receptions while Dakota Smith leads the rushing attack by averaging nearly 50 yards per game.

The Defense: Tre'Quez Parks leads the Wilmington defense with 87 tackles for an average of 9.7 per game. Royon Washington, Tavion Bryant and Kyle Ackley all have over 50 tackles while Weston Trampler has a team-high 4.5 sacks. Ryan Tuchow and Niall Lewison both have over 80 tackles for Otterbein defensively while Jacob Tiell and Andre Douglas lead the team in sacks with six.

Senior Day: The game marks the final contest in the careers of five seniors – Gino Hinton, Malik Pettiford, Zach ZurfaceKyle Ackley and Saul Boysel. A brief ceremony will be held prior to kickoff.
