Chua Named Honorable Mention All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College baseball senior Joshua Chua garnered Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honors as the conference announced its All-OAC baseball teams on Monday.

Chua, who is being recognized as Honorable Mention All-OAC for the second consecutive season, was one of the top Fightin' Quaker offensive threats in 2018 with the second-highest batting average on the team at .317 (only Nick Silvis was higher with a .321 batting average). He also tied with Silvis for the most hits on the squad with 44. The Lancester, England, native led Wilmington in doubles (15), walks (15), stolen bases (11) and runs scored (27). He also finished second to Jake Hyatt in RBIs with 26.

Chua was honored as the OAC Hitter of the Week following his performance over the Quakers' spring trip to Florida in March.

Wilmington finished itd 2018 season with an 11-26 overall record and a 3-15 mark in OAC play. The 11 victories mark the highest wins total for the program since 2007.
