The Wilmington College baseball team lost to Marietta in both of the team's Ohio Athletic Conference games Saturday at Tewksbury-Delaney Field.
MARIETTA 15, WILMINGTON 1
- The Pioneers scored nine runs in the ninth inning, all with two outs, to record the 15-1 victory in the opener.
- Senior Tyler Schrock (Wayneville, OH/Waynesville) scored the teams only run, scoring on an error by the catcher.
- Four different players – Corey Walker (Hillsboro, OH/Hillsboro), Daniel Hayes (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek), Billy Foster (Xenia, OH/Xenia) and Tyler McDaniel (Trenton, OH/Edgewood) – had hits for Wilmington.
- Freshman Jared Ferenchak, 1-4, (Concord, OH/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) took the loss, allowing four earned runs in 5 1/3 innings of work.
MARIETTA 13, WILMINGTON 0
- Schrock recorded his seventh multi-hit game of the season, going 2-for-3 on the season. He was the only player with multiple hits.
- Marietta scored in seven of its nine at-bats, including a four-run ninth inning.
- Walker, 0-8, allowed four earned runs on six hits in three innings. He was forced to leave after being hit by a pitch in the bottom of the third inning.
- Wilmington finished with six hits.
SENIOR DAY
- Wilmington honored the contributions of seniors Schrock, Max Ramsey (Waynesville, OH/Waynesville), Walker, Cole Voltz (Mt. Pleasant, OH/Madison Plains), Foster and Luke Matthews (Centerville, OH/Centerville).

- Wilmington (4-31 overall, 1-3 OAC) will travel to Mount Union 1 p.m. Saturday.
