The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee named men’s soccer player Nils Asteberg as its Player of the Week, for the period ending September 13, 2015.

Asteberg (Ojersjo,Sweden/Porthalla Gymnasium) keyed a defense that shutout Maryville for more than 65 minutes, and helped lead Wilmington to the 2-1 victory over Wittenberg.

In recognition of his accomplishments, he will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and his photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in the lobby of Hermann Court.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
